Semi Finals: Olly Murs sings Michael Jackson
Olly Murs opened the show with an energetic rendition of the 1980 Jackson 5 hit Can You Feel It.
Following his performance, he received a warm round of comments from the four judges, who agreed he had to be in the final next week.
Dannii told him: ‘We can all feel it in here tonight. You not only have the full package, but you were in fact grabbing the package.
‘If you pull off two performances like that tonight you have to be in the final.’
Mentor Simon agreed, telling him: ‘Olly, you should have been a bag of nerves tonight, but you pulled it together and put on a great show. I cannot imagine you not being here next week.’
For his second song, Olly sang Stevie Wonder’s We Can Work It Out.
Afterwards, Dannii said she was not sure if it was the best song choice to show off his vocal talents, but added: ‘If I was sat at home next to a phone, I would pick it up.’
Simon added: ‘You are the guy next door who dreamed of being a pop star and you thoroughly deserve your place in [next week's] final.’

I really enjoy your singing style and performance. I told the girlfriend I’ll vote for you if you get through when we saw your first audition and I called in every week once you made the finals.
It’s a shame you didn’t win the whole thing in the end, but I’ll give Joe good credit for having such a voice! I think you will both have a great future in music and it will be interesting to see who will keep at it in the end…
