Back in London, where standards were still running high, the last act of the evening quintessential Essex boy Oliver Murs took his place on stage.
The base line of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition kicked in and the 25-year-old proceeded to blow the judges away with his soulful voice and smooth moves. The panel couldn’t help but bop their heads along, the girls were screaming and Simon was clearly impressed.
